

M.O.M Financial Empowerment Grant
Purpose: The M.O.M Financial Empowerment Grant provides emergency financial assistance to single mothers with dependent children under the age of 18, within the State of South Carolina, that are experiencing a crisis or financial hardship resulting from a sudden, severe, or overwhelming and unexpected event that is beyond their control. (i.e house fire, emergency relocation due to domestic violence, or serious illness of applicant/dependent, etc). The event results in significant pressure on the family’s financial resources. When applying we ask that you provide as much detail as you feel comfortable sharing so that we can understand all aspects of your circumstance before responding to your request.
How The Program Works: Applicant must complete the application below and submit via email. We will confirm receipt of your email within 24-48hrs. Once your application has been reviewed, we will reach out to you via email to inform you if your request has been approved within 2-3 business days or sooner depending upon how emergent the crisis. There is no set amount for the amount received by individuals, but the max amount that can be awarded is $200. A board of volunteers will determine the amount to be gifted. Funding is based on funds received from donors each year, applications will be reviewed and processed on a first-come, first-serve basis until allotted funds for the program year has run out.
